The D-Nail Universal Torchless Heating System is a versatile kiln-style heater designed to work with quartz nails. It connects to a D-Nail temperature control station and heats nails using electric heat, even if they are not designed for use with typical coil heaters. This system maintains a consistent temperature, offering a safer and more controlled alternative to butane torches.
Key Features
- Faster Heatup: Brings a nail to temperature in approximately 45 seconds, varying by set temperature. With some experimentation you can find the ideal temperature for your usage and leave it set there for consistent results.
- Size Options: Available in Standard and XL. The Standard size fits almost all nails except the very widest and tallest, while the XL (50mm wide instead of 42mm, and 20mm taller) accomodates larger models. The Standard size heats up faster and provides better performance for most setups, and is reccomended for most users (unless you want to use a truly massive nail.)
- Consistent Temperature: Maintains a precise set temperature to ensure optimal heating
- Safer alternative to torches: Replaces the need for butane torches, reducing the risks associated with open flames. Caution is still necessary due to high operating temperatures!
Usage Instructions
We suggest putting the quartz in place on a rig and adjusting the height of the heater to fit so it rests floating inside the chamber. We do NOT reccomend hanging things in from the side - you can, but it's a matter of safe handling.
Warranty
3 year warranty on the full unit, with a 1-year warranty on the heating element. Service is available as long as D-Nail exists and some servicing can be done at home with simple tools.
Compatibility
This 400W device is compatible with any D-Nail controller and most cross-compatible models. For non-D-Nail controllers, please confirm compatibility with the manufacturer.
Design and Build
- Adjustable Lift: The heated area is mounted to an adjustable lift, accomodating most nail and rig configurations. Minimum height from table to the lowest part of the heated area is 22.5"
- Silent Operation: Makes no noise except for the occasional soft ting of thermal expansion.
- High-Quality Materials: Constructed from high-grade 310S steel and laboratory-grade high-density ceramic insulation.
Optional Components
- Quartz Top: Available plain or with limited edition engraved art by Evan Shore. Helps protect the setup and reduce loss of heat through the top.
- Cantilever Stand: An alternate way to hold your nail floating inside the heater without connecting it to a rig. We do not reccomend performing hot transfers due to the risks of handling hot glass, but this can be used if you have an unusual sized rig that does not neatly fit or in some other special cases.
- Pukinbeagle Quartz Lotus Bundle: Allows for vaporization of dry herbs. Comes with everything you need for a smooth experience.
Additional Notes
ESB Engraved Tops, A1 Cantilever Stands, 220v UTHS and the Pukinbeagle Lotus are all small batch production items that may ship seperately in 1-2 weeks. Version 1.1 now features faster heatup, higher maximum temperatures, and sheds less heat than version 1.0. Available for either 120V (North America) or 220V (other areas worldwide) power.
