The Nimbus is taller, with different surface architecture and polishing, but still precision machined from ultra high purity, optical quartz. Controllers: The v1.4 controller is the most current iteration of the world famous D-Nail controller. It should be expected to last for many years, and causes less wear on heaters than other models with proprietary variable wattage control. The mini is very good at a fraction of the price.
Heaters: The 28mm barrel heater is the only heater suitable for properly heating this dish.
Caps: Universal cap (default) is the original spinner cap, and has barely changed since 2013. The Turbo Cap is much more powerful. Quartz caps are better insulation.
