These are everything we want in spheres:

  • Stable up to 1600C
  • Chemically inert
  • Heat retention over 300% fused quartz by volume
  • As perfectly spherical and polished as modern technology allows.
  • Easy to clean
  • Gorgeous

These are very different than the rest of the ceramic parts you've seen in the industry. Key points are these can be torched without problem (don't throw them in water or iso while hot) and they clean up extremely well instead of buiding up residue in the surface.

Initially, we had been researching this ceramic for other parts, but determined it meets all the right parameters for mixing spheres. The fact that it literally looks like pearl is just a bonus.

As part of us releasing new materials under trade names in lieu of technical ones, we are prioritizing supporting safety testing.  Linked here are the results of thermogravometric analysis to 1,000C- the test (at the highest temperature available) confirms the material is stable and does not offgas at extremely elevated temperatures.

    Sooooo Gooood

Posted by DeeKwee on Jan 7th 2025

Earlier reviews commenting on the 'softness' of vapour produced by these pearls is right on! Picked up on some additional flavours I hadn't gotten with the ruby too! Used the 4mm pearl in a Core 2.1. Really love low temp dabs, and I'm still experimenting with the ruby, shinju, and diamondium pearls, but so far I'd say that the ceramic of the shinju heats up the most gently, so if you don't mind waiting an additional draw for the vapour to really milk up, you'll be rewarded in low temp flavour & effects. Love these, highly recommended, fantastic flawless engineering, worth every penny.

    Materials Comparison Says It All

Posted by Unknown on Jun 22nd 2024

Flavor vastly better than quartz and heat-retention is the best of best (even against mono-SiC & Diamondium). Polish and spherical precision are bonkers too--quality quartz pearls seem lumpy by comparison. Taking price into account, I humbly think it's the best material offered. 9.6mm is a weird size but ironically works really well for me.

    Shinju

First I have to say THANK YOU to dnail for setting me up with these for FREE!!!! Still shocked by that lol .. they shipped amazingly fast, and I am extremely impressed with their performance! The spin is amazing, with virtually no cleanup.. and the taste of my dab is out of this world, a dramatic difference between these and even the SiC pearls! I'm already looking into some Shinju inserts, as this material is absolutely the best at retaining heat and it's light enough to keep those babies spinning with just the smallest breath! Super happy and will be back!

    Shinju Comet Sphere

Using the 9.6, its a little too big, doesn’t spin very well in a curved bottom or flat banger compared to smaller spheres. Would have preferred to buy multiple smaller ones instead of the big one. They did plug a second pearl tho which makes up for the 20 dollar price tag

    Useful spheres

The sizes I ordered fit perfectly. I was even give an extra pearl. I’m 34, companies just don’t do this anymore. My business stays here for that reason and of course the quality.
